It's the year 1965 in a city....a city drenched in a pool of injustice...injustice rooted from lies told about the inferiority of the Black Race. A race filled with Hope..a hope threatened to remain in the abstract...a hope to one day take their own life in their own hands..a hope to be able to determine, not just their own future, but the future of their children. All this in one request...a request to be allowed to exercise their constitutional right to vote.

In the act to fight for their right they all turned to one man....a man armed with, not just intellectual knowledge of the constitutional right of his people, but with experience in enforcing justice with an ideology calm and serene but powerful enough to move nations.

Armed and ready, in the lower west of Alabama, to embark on a quest to liberate his people from the shackles of injustice preventing them from voting. A peaceful March of protest that would be etched in the sand of time...a march that would require not just all his resources but him being resourceful.

Without the support of his political backbone frustration is inevitable. Every attempt made was thwarted by political injustice. Even a man with great vision has he can sometime face discouragement and be tempted to throw in the towel; as this was the case but for the Song or Word of encouragement that kept his focus on the vision.

It's the year 1965....the year the chains of injustice was broken.....the year the people took back their right.....the year the Black Race was allowed to Vote in Selma Alabama.
